Whenever you capture a person on film or digitally. It is a story waiting to be told. People are special. They are one of a kind. Most often times we forget this simple truth. We try to herd them into a group that satisfies our need. We fall victim to ego. We think that we know what the world is about and forget empathy.
Any storyteller worth his salt knows this to be untrue. Empathy is the great storytelling. A photo like any art form needs to inform us more about the world around us. It is an opportunity to learn and to entertain.
Places are part of our nostalgia. We always feel a special tingle when we think of a place we have been to. It usually includes people, but not always.
Capturing a place or a moment is something very special indeed. Even the framing is essential.
